Miguel Avila Jr. Also know as DJ M-vee was born in Santa Ana, California on March 3rd 1994, but lived his first 9 years in Mexico City where he first began to love music as he would spend hours listening to varies radio stations. In 2003 M-vee moved to Charlotte NC where he currently resides. While Learning to speak English he would often tone in to radio stations to try to understand lyrics and learn about american music culture, M-vee interest for music blossomed even more. Guided by DJ family tradition which was past down from his grandfather, Who own the first phonograph cylinder in his hometown. He would often play 45 records to folks in front of his store while they dance the night away in a small town of Oxaca Mexico. After M-vee’s Uncles form a Sonidero (DJ group) in California named Guafilesma in the loving memory of their Father (M-vee Grandfather) who past away in 1994. Gufilesma Provided top quality sound and lighting for all sorts of social gathering in the southern California Region, Gufilesma Later expanded their branch into Mexico City becoming the industry standard for major events thought out Mexico City. Gufilesma was renown for its impressive large amount of JBl speakers and quality Lights which required a 18 wheeler to move to any location.
M-vee’s Was First mentor my his older brother Alfonso when he moved to Charlotte in late 2007, Who had also own a Sonidero In the early 2000’s in California. His brother mentor him on the basic Techniques of choosing proper music, Connecting sound among others. In Early 2008 with only 6 months of Djing experience at the age of 14 M-vee decided to join With These Hands Mix Academy which is a Non-Profit DJ School located in Charlotte N.C.. M-vee Learn music technology and the art of DJing which consisted of fundamental history, principles, theories and methods involved in enhancing and modifying music also discussions and hands-on training in DJing skills and techniques from varies Dj instructors including Claude (Vince) Whitfield (The Play Maker) & Louis (DJ 300 Music) Wilson among other Guest Speakers. In mid 2009 M-vee had obtain sufficient DIsc Jockey knowledge and became a DJ Instructor, Event planner, Community outreach Volunteer and the Conflict resolution speaker for With These Hands Mix Academy. As the Speaker in the conflict resolution course given at With These Hands Mix Academy M-vee taught students to isolate problems, take personal responsibility for their actions and negotiate win/win solutions. He emphasis tolerance and respect for others. Students were also taught the importance of listening, tone of voice, the use of neutral body language and words. As event planner he has help plan, promote and participate in community outreach projects throughout the year including, serving children in foster care through the Giving Tree Project, We Are The Champions competition and other service projects.
At the age of 15 M-vee made his debut at his first nightclub event at a venue named Kiss Lounge. Later he made an appearance at nightclub named Dammit Janet where he caught the attention of varies promoters and was ask to Guest Dj for a major Uptown Club named Halo Clt. His first night he made a statement that age was not a factor that affected his Djing skill. He prove himself to the nightclub owners and resident Disc Jockeys, And was ask to become a resident Dj for their Latin Xtasy Thursday Nights. By the Age of 16 M-vee Had weekly residencies at major nightlife establishments in Uptown Charlotte and surrounding areas Including Halo Clt, Luna Lounge, Sunset Club, Black Bear Saloon, Club Zoo, Loft 1523, Dirty Martini among others. He also Guest Dj at other varies Nightlife Establishments but nightlife events its not the only place M-vee showcases his skills he also has Dj at varies community outreach events, competitive competitions, Corporate, Private and varies universities including Queens College, University of North Carolina at Charlotte among many others. Now at the age of 17 M-vee is taking over the nightlife Industry and community outreach events by storm. M-vee’s other passion besides DJing is planing successful events with innovative out of this world themes, Which attendees speak about highly even many weeks after the event has occur. M-vee Productions Nightlife events have occur in varies nightclubs and bars in uptown Charlotte and surrounding areas. Nightlife events have help maintain M-vee Productions financially stable which has allowed M-vee to focus his attention on given back to the community by partnering up with varies organizations including With These Hands Mix Academy and Izzigy Promotions to plan community outreach event targeting the Charlotte youth. M-vee Productions new chapter has occur with the recent partnership with Unc Charlotte to host events on campus, M-vee productions ability to now book on campus locations has open a new market of the college student which many local event planners have tried to gain access to but failed in making the connection with the university. Currently varies student organizations including 49ers on the weekends, 49ers Music Selectors among others are teaming up with M-vee Productions to plan a massive rave in a campus location in spring semester, Saturday February 18th from 9pm-1am. M-vee productions was brought for its connections with nightlife industries. M-vee has had varies task including the bookings of DJs such as Kevin Focus which was just sign to Coldharbour Red Recording and his newest E.P. stuck 7 First obtain "#1" on Beatport.com & recently Stuck 7 is "#1" in the SiriusXM Radio -Area Trance Top 20 Countdown - 29 November 2011. Also M-vee productions is helping with the booking of quality lights, Sounds equipment to give the students the full rave experience.
As the newest and youngest member of Coalition One DJs the young star has done a lot on his short career. From playing in clubs, parties, radio stations and working with industry greats, This great young DJ has accomplished more in his short time of DJing than most whom call themselves Vets. DJ M-vee is definitely a name remember and to look out for in the future as he will continue Providing a mixture of high energy music which he blends into musical harmony to set the tone for any event.

Competitive Disc- Jockey(DJ) competitions
-Global fusion DJ battle 1st place winner (2010). Global fusion took place inside Mccoll Theatre and consisted of a 15 minute Djing mix in witch each DJ had to blend cultural music from at least 3 different countries of the world together into musical harmony.
-Ink Fest Live DJ Battle (Watc Title) second round qualifier 2011. Inkfest Live - WATC (We Are The Champions) is a national, preeminent, and professional league of the highest caliber DJs. The purpose of WATC is to highlight and promote the art of turntablisim and Party Rock. WATC Title hosts several competitions throughout the U.S. for the public allowing the top DJs in the country to compete. 2011 WATC took place inside the Cabarrus Convention Center in Concord, NC. M-vee made history by being the youngest DJ to compete in Watc Title among many national respected DJs like DJ Etronik from Pico Rivara, California which has been competing world wide since 2006 and was the 2010 US national champion and place 4th representing the USA in the DMC world finals against 25 other nations in London, England. Also Shmeeze from Los Angeles, California which was rank 3rd in the US (2011) and 5 other elite Disc jockeys.

-On his sophomore year M-vee was inspired to launch the first ever DJ club within a high school (North Mecklenburg High School). With These Hands North Meck was the first and Only DJ club in the south east part of the country. The roster of students reached over 100 club members and was popular among music lovers. Club members were taught in a once a week basis on the fundamentals of DJ history, principles, theories and methods involved in modifying music. DJ club was a hands on course which allowed students access to DJ equipment which other wise would be very difficult to learn without. With These Hands North Meck was activate in school by providing music for school events such as pep rallies, club day, Fashion shows, Senior breakfest among many others
Community
-Volunteer teaching creative arts, cultural awareness, conflict resolution, music technology and disc jockey lessons for With These Hands Mix Academy which is a non-profit organization directed towards underserved teens in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas. 2009-present.
